Welcome to the 521st Critical Care Reviews Newsletter, bringing you the best critical care research and open access articles from across the medical literature over the past seven days.
The highlight of this week's edition is the publication and livestream presentation of the COCA trial, investigating calcium for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. We were fortunate to host the results of this trial last week, in conjunction with a simultaneous publication in JAMA. The edited videos are available on the website.
Tomorrow, we will be hosting the results presentation of the BOUGIE trial, comparing the use of a bougie with a stylet in 1100 patients undergoing emergency intubation in either the emergency department or intensive care unit. The faculty and global timings are available on the BOUGIE webpage. We start at 19:30 UTC+0 (Western European Time). If you think your colleagues might find this results presentation and accompanying discussion interesting, please let them know.
